Robert James Waller Biography
The real name of Robert James is Robert James Waller, who is an American author. The Bridges of Madison County has been one of his famous books. He is also an author as well photographer and musician. Robert James was born on August 1, 1939, in Charles City, Iowa, USA. Robert received his BA (’62) and MA (’64) from the University of Northern Iowa. He received his Ph.D. in Business from the Kelley School of Business in 1968. He announced in 2000 that he donated seven figures to Indiana University. Many of his books are on the New York Times bestseller list, including the 1992 book The Bridges of Madison County. Which is one of the best-selling books of 1993.
Education
Robert James received his BA (’62) and MA (’64) from the University of Northern Iowa. After that, he received his Ph.D. degree in Business from Kelley School of Business of Indiana University Bloomington in 1968. And in the same year, he started studying management and economics and became a full professor in 1977.
Personal Life
Robert James was born on August 1, 1939, in Charles City, Iowa, USA. He received his BA (’62) and MA (’64) from the University of Northern Iowa, which was then known as Iowa State Teachers College. And later its name was changed to the University of Northern Iowa. He then received his Ph.D. in Business from Indiana University Bloomington’s Kelley School of Business in 1968. And in the same year, he started studying management and economics and became a full professor in 1977. In 1980 he was made the dean of the College of Business and in 1986 he resigned from this position. He announced in 2000 that he donated seven figures to Indiana University.
He was first married to Georgia Ann Wiedemeier in 1961 and divorced in 1997. Robert James and Georgia Ann Wiedemeier were married for 35 years. After that, his second marriage took place to Linda Bow. He and Linda Bow got married in February 2004.

Death
Robert James Waller died at his home on March 10, 2017, at the age of 77. It was also revealed that he had been battling multiple myeloma, which led to his death.
